ISO 17020 bagi badan pemeriksa

Seperti ISO 9001, ISO 17025 dan lain-lain, ISO 17020 juga hampir sama dengan ISO 9001 dari aspek pengurusan kualiti dan ISO 17025 dari aspek teknikal. Bagaimanapun penekanan diberikan lebih kepada aspek berikut;
1-Skop - lebih kepada ujian fungsi dan bukan berbentuk analisis
2-Pentadbiran - liabiliti perlindungan insuran
3-Sistem kualiti - perlu melantik pengurus teknikal yang mengawal semua aspek teknikal.
4-Audit dalaman - perlu ada program audit di lapangan
5-Peralatan - mengenal pasti peralatan yang sesuai untuk pemeriksaan
6-Bebas, adil dan berwibawa

Ultrasonic Goniometer

Background

  • Popular in 1970’s and 1980’s
  • Basic research to understand sound mode conversion in materials
  • Modeling of experimentation

Principle


  • Based on Snell's law

Methodology

  • Technique used to study materials surface properties by propagating ultrasound at various angle of incidence.

  • Parameter determined - sound velocity and Amplitude

Applications

  • Rayleigh and Lamb wave studies
  • Rayleigh used to study surface properties eg. Roughness, hardness, residual stress



  • Lamb wave for thickness measurement.
